Aggressive and resistant children and adolescents are a significant and challenging problem for mental health care professionals. The purpose of this seminar is to help mental health professionals and educators learn how to: 1) aid youth in development of strategies to manage their anger; and 2) assist parents in developing strategies to help children manage their angry and aggressive behavior. This program is designed for psychologists, social workers, clinical counselors and other mental health professionals who work with adolescents and late school aged children. Ethical issues and limits upon confidentiality will also be discussed. The program will provide both current research and case examples to illustrate the concepts discussed.
