Event Description
This workshop will discuss general psychopharmacology, specifically: mechanisms of psychopharmacology, the uses and side effects of medication, and a review of major medication classes. The medication classes to be highlighted include: antidepressants, anti-anxiety medications, mood stabilizers, antipsychotics and stimulants. Cost to attend: $50 Presenters: Dr. Alyson Bell is a trained general psychiatrist who believes education is critical in patient care. Dr. Bell helps patients understand their diagnosis as well as all the options available to help them overcome it. Dr. Molly Hawke is a trained adult psychiatrist who strongly believes that positive lifestyle changes can positively impact mental health. Dr. Johanna Wilson is a trained general psychiatrist with a special interest in adolescent psychiatry and emergency psychiatric assessments. Steven Hunt, MPAS, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant with the ability to make diagnoses and prescribe medications under the supervision of Dr. Matthew Lowe.
