Event Description
Many mental health professionals now recognize the importance of an awareness of their clients’ spiritual beliefs and values. As therapists move into integrating spiritual beliefs into therapy there are a number of ethical concerns and potential missteps which can interfere with good clinical work. Understanding the influences of one’s own beliefs, dual relationship issues, and other interpersonal factors can help counselors avoid these problems. A thorough grounding in spiritual assessment, as well as decision-making on when to include spiritual interventions, will aid in more positive therapy outcomes. Registration is online.
