Chair: Ashley Debeljak, Wright State University
Ashley Debeljak is a fourth year doctoral student at Wright State University School of Professional Psychology. She held the Chair-Elect position in 2015-2016 before becoming Chair of the OPAGS 2016-2017 Board. Her current practicum is at Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital, providing psychological assessment and intervention for children with gastrointestinal disorders. Her research focuses on the relationship between psychological health and gastrointestinal disorders. Her goals are to pursue a career in pediatric psychology.
Chair-Elect: Teresa Smith, University of Cincinnati
Teresa is a third year Clinical Psychology doctoral student at the University of Cincinnati. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology as well as a substance abuse counseling certificate at the University of Cincinnati in 2011. Prior to graduate school, Teresa worked as Clinical Research Coordinator at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center from 2011 to 2014. She is passionate about partnering with communities to address social determinants of health that adversely affect underserved populations. Currently, Teresa is working on a project that aims to identify psychosocial stressors that lead to pre-term birth. She is excited to serve on the board this year as the Chair-Elect.
Continuing Education Chair: David Downing, Xavier University
Advocacy Chair: Roshni Rao, Wright State University
Roshni is a fourth year clinical psychology doctoral student at Wright State University. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Case Western Reserve University and masters degree from Vanderbilt University. She is interested in working with children and adolescents suffering from neurodevelopmental disorders, neurological disorders, and chronic illnesses. Her dissertation research will focus on pediatric neuropsychology. She is passionate about mental health advocacy work and helping individuals access mental health services. She is excited to serve on the OPAGS board, again, this year along with an extremely talented group of individuals.
Social Responsibility Chair: Bethany Walker, Miami University
Bethany is a fifth year student in Miami University’s clinical psychology program. Her research and clinical interests are centered on children with developmental disabilities (DDs), such as Intellectual Disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder. From a research perspective, Bethany is interested in evaluating emotion regulation and behavioral interventions for preschool children with DDs, especially school-based interventions. She enjoys teaching the undergraduate course, Child Psychopathology and Developmental Disabilities and is excited to serve as the OPAGS Social Responsibility Chair this year.

Mike studied psychology and sociology at SUNY Stony Brook, researching academic achievement emotions in his senior year. He taught 1st grade for three years in Chicago and earned his masters in elementary teaching arts during that time. He is currently in his 2nd year at Xavier University's Psy.D. program in Cincinnati, and is interested in working with children and adolescents mainly in the healthcare context
