Join us online for a FREE assembly hosted by OPA's Prevention and Wellness Program: Self-Care in the Age of Two Pandemics.

DATE: Thursday, June 4, 2020
TIME: 7:00 - 8:15 p.m.
This is a FREE event that does NOT offer CE.

Thursday night from 7-8:15 pm your Prevention and Wellness Program plans to provide a safe space to not only talk about our ongoing stresses and challenges with COVID-19, but also we want to acknowledge the additional stress of working with our clients as we and they process the past week of witnessing another black man murdered by police,  witnessing unending protests demanding justice and action, and witnessing yet more unjustified police violence toward peaceful protesters.  How do these dual pandemics impact upon our self-care as our clients struggle with experiencing finding their own grounding, hope and sources of support and resilience?  Join us for this free webinar.

The objectives for the prevention and wellness assemblies will be:

  • As a community, commit to create a safe environment where we can share our personal concerns and struggles
  • Discuss the unique emotional challenges of the current circumstances.
  • Assess your own needs for and efforts towards self care.
  • Identify and apply our resilience building strategies.
