The OPA-LDA is an extension of the Leadership Forum which was a 1 day leadership education and training program developed in 2007. The mission of the OPA Leadership Development Academy is to develop and nurture an active pipeline of future OPA leaders which reflects the broad diversity of psychologists in Ohio. To ensure diversity, selection priority is be given to ECPs, mid-career psychologists, racial and ethnic minorities and other underrepresented groups, including LGBTQ and persons with disabilities. The OPA-LDA offers participants the opportunity to explore leadership principles from a multi-cultural perspective, engage in leadership self-assessment, work closely with OPA mentors and become involved in advocacy at the Ohio Statehouse.
Applications will be accepted and reviewed in May and June with approximately 10 participants being selected to join the OPA Leadership Development Academy in July. If you are interested in this unique opportunity, please contact the OPA office at 614.224.0034.
