It seeks to further some of OPA’s goals relating to diversity, access, and inclusion. We invite you to join our efforts in 2022 by making a donation to PsyOHIO now.

A word about our philanthropic programs and the areas on which we are focused:

Grants for innovative research on current issues impacting communities.

Support for psychological research in diversity and social justice issues.

Educational and other support for ethnic minority students, women, and other minorities.

Supporting leadership development programs for psychologists.

Encouraging young students in middle and high school who have demonstrated ability and an interest in studying psychological issues.

For example, one recent grant supported a study of the impact of discrimination against Asian Americans, as some identified COVID as the Chinese virus. Our Board of Directors seeks representatives from the public and private sectors, and we would like for you to consider becoming a potential board candidate. We do expect that, once elected, our board members will participate in at least one board retreat. While we do ask that our board members play an active role, we pride ourselves on supporting each other as a team and believe that we offer an opportunity for our members to learn and grow with the organization.

If you are interested in serving, please complete this online form and a member of our Board of Directors will contact you by phone to discuss our invitation and to answer any questions you may have. If, once you have spoken to one of our board members and you wish to be considered please contact Michael Ranney at 614.224.0034.
